Our recommendation to choose ‘Return to the original state’

May 31, 2021

In order to send a clear and unequivocal message to Southwark that the survey is neither fair nor transparent, we recommend that you choose ‘Return it to the original state’ for all the measures. Please see the FAQs here.

Low Traffic Neighbourhoods and the Dulwich Society

May 26, 2021

There will be a Special General Meeting of the Dulwich Society (which is regularly consulted by the Council, and has been closely involved in discussions about the traffic measures in Dulwich) on Monday 28 June. The SGM will discuss three specific issues: 1) the process for appointing members to sub-committees, 2) whether the Society should have a formal survey of its members on its long-term policy on travel and environment, and 3) whether members support the current remit of the Travel and Environment sub-committee (which includes, at item 5, ‘supporting low traffic neighbourhoods’).

If you’re interested in joining the Society, membership costs £10 per household per year. Go to www.dulwichsociety.com.

Southwark Council’s online events

May 26, 2021

Southwark Council is holding a series of online events as part of the Review – see https://consultations.southwark.gov.uk/environment-leisure/dulwich-review/ (scroll down to ‘Events’)

The first on Sunday 23 May was a general explanation of the measures. The second on Wednesday 26 May heard the views of local residents and stakeholder groups, and the third on Saturday 19 June from 2pm to 4pm will look at ‘the specific plans, challenges and improvements’.

All events are free, but you have to book in advance via Eventbrite.
